FAQ

What sizes will the kimono fit?

Our kimono can fit a range of sizes by adjusting the amount of overlap in the front and by folding any excess height under the sash/obi. Generally the kimono we have will fit women’s sizes 6 through to 16. We have a small number of ‘plus size’ kimono that allow up to size 20, and these are indicated in our collection. The minimum recommended height for wearing our kimono is approximately 150cm.

How long can I keep the kimono for?

The rental period is typically around a week. We aim to courier the kimono to you a few days before your event so that you have plenty of time to practice the dressing. We then expect the kimono to be posted back to us 1-2 business days after your event. There is currently no strict rental period or late fees charged, but we appreciate the kimono being returned promptly.

SHould I wash the kimono before returning it?

No, you don’t need to watch the kimono before returning it to us. We want the process to be as easy/simple for you, and also certain detergents may degrade the condition of the kimono.

What if the kimono is lost or damaged?

Minor damage will be repaired by us at no cost to you, and we appreciate being informed of the exact damage when the kimono is returned to us. In the event that the kimono is lost, destroyed, or damaged to the point that it can no longer be reasonably rented again then we will charge you a recovery fee. The amount will depend on the particular kimono that was damaged.
